I love this one better than the last one I got. This one actually goes faster I can do it with in just a few minutes.. easy to hold you can turn the head to fit comfort. And the many heads is great. For specific areas |

I have an IPL device for home use, which works well, but is definitely uncomfortable to use. Especially in more sensitive areas, like bikini and underarm. This is an unknown brand to me, but a great replacement. It lets me treat areas I was too much a sissy to attempt with IPL. There's almost no pain at all, just the tiniest little zap. It's fast and you can turn the head to whatever position works best for the angle you're working on. It's very sturdy feeling and user friendly .After 3 weeks of use, I'm super satisfied with the result. As I've said, I used IPL before so the hair removal had already been in progress, but this has stopped the growth of any remaining hair. |

I am relatively new to the at home laser hair removal game and have only tried one brand before this one. I have heard SO many positive things about BoSidin so needless to say, I was super excited to get to try it!If you aren't a patient person, this may not be for you! This isn't the kind of device that you use once and you are magically hair free. It takes time, patience, and dedication as you will need to use it for several weeks, even months, to get the full effect. I strongly recommend reading the entire manual before beginning. The device itself has a sleek, premium looking design. It's comfortable to hold, albeit a tad heavy, and similar in size to a travel hair dryer. It didn't cause any hand stiffness or discomfort during use. Also, be sure to wear some kind of protective glasses or goggles. This does come with goggles which is a wonderful little addition! I found that they weren't quite strong enough so I opted for a pair of tanning goggles. The flashes are QUITE bright!I love, love, LOVE that the head of the device swivels. This makes it so much easier to get around those awkward areas!I used the lowest setting at first and was surprised that it wasn't very painful at all. You do feel a slight sensation but it isn't nearly as uncomfortable as the previous brand I was using. If you have sensitive skin, it may be a bit more painful. You do have to shave first for the process to work properly. This kit even comes with a nice set of razors!!!Since I was previously using a similar device, my hair removal process was already in progress. I decided to suck it up and try it on my bikini area since it wasn't super uncomfortable. I have been using it for almost a month and I am starting to see results. The hair is still there, of course, but it seems to be growing in slower and less coarse. I am hoping with extended use (several months), the hair will eventually stop growing altogether. (or, at the very least, prolong the amount of time that I can go in between shaves) Very optimistic based on the results that I have already seen! |

I can’t yet speak to the effectiveness of its ability to slow down or eliminate hair growth because I’ve had some difficulty sticking to the schedule. But maybe my experience will help other people know what to expect, and if this is the right product for you. (If you have a tendency to pick your skin or over-pluck your hair then you should be aware of how that will impact the hair removal process.)1. Skin Color- The instruction manual explains that this device is NOT safe for very dark skin.2. Skin differences- You can’t use this on skin with sores, scabs, scars, tattoos, permanent makeup, dark spots, birth marks. The instructions didn’t specifically say anything about acne. This might actually be something to ask for more clarification about.3. Prepare your skin- Before each treatment you must clean and shave your skin. (No plucking or waxing.) This includes your face. Use a dermaplaning razor kit to remove all the peach fuzz on your face before each treatment.4. Prepare the device- It takes time to get the device ready. It’s packaged beautifully for gifting, but for frequent use it’s very inconvenient. Each piece has its own box (power cord, body attachments, protective glasses) which kinda makes a mess of boxes everywhere when you’re getting ready for the treatment. Then you need to re-pack each piece when you’re done.5. Time of each treatment- The manual says you can do your whole body in 15 minutes. I disagree. By the time you dermaplane your whole face, get the device ready, do the treatment and clean up, at least 15-20 minutes have already past. And that’s just for the face. And if you try to use the machine for much longer than that then it stops working so it can cool down.6. Consistency- This is not a one-time hair removal tool. It requires a treatment schedule. Initial Phase: Do a Regular Treatment once a week for 8 weeks. (You can do one additional treatment a week if necessary, but remember you’ll have to prepare the area again. Touch Up Phase: Continue using once a month, or as needed. I started with my arms/armpits and legs all together, but it stopped working in the middle of my first leg. I had to start giving it breaks to cool down. So the next week I tried splitting up the body parts to different days of the week, but then the task became a little overwhelming doing it so frequently and I wasn’t able to maintain the schedule. So now I’m starting over, but just with my face. But I’ve discovered that a few days after dermaplaning the peach fuzz off my face I start getting little bumps (from the little hairs trying to grow back). I pick and squeeze them which gives me sores. And we can’t use the machine until all sores and scabs have healed. It’s a difficult cycle which I’m trying to change. The device itself is easy to use, but these are human factors that interfere with the process. As exciting as it is to imagine your whole body hair free, I suggest taking it slow by focusing on just one or 2 areas. Do the 8 week initial phase for that area, then after that start another area of your body. |
